Boston University is an accredited university with a good reputation. Whether it is "prestigious" is a matter of opinion. Most would probably not think it has as great prestige as its near neighbors, Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2009 the Times Higher Education Supplement gave Boston University 20th rank in US and fifty sixth in the world.
