They did take a couple of classes about acting but they never really went through with it.

In recent blog posts and Twitter tweets, Kate Gosselin has mentioned that Madelyn has her first role in a school play (2012, Alice in Wonderland) and made several comments about her singing skills. So yes, Mady has tried out for acting ... in a school play!
