She is, but she is in a persistent vegetative state in hospital following a brain haemorrhage in 2003.
In the September of 1985, she was in a car crash that left her in a wheelchair, although after a long period of recovery she did begin making public appearances again. Six years ago, she suffered a cerebral haemorrhage in June, following a concert in the Mexican city of Nogales, and fell into a coma for over seven weeks. When she emerged from the coma, she was in a PVS, and remains so to this day, in a hospital in Chula Vista, California.
She turned 64 on May 28th of this year. Nobody can tell how long she will live, or if she will ever emerge from her tragic condition.
