Is Chris Cooper related to Gary Cooper?

while I am not able to answer as to whether the two are related, I will say this: While watching an old Gary Cooper movie a few days ago (I believe it was called "It Happened One Night"), I spent much of the first hour of the film repeatedly asking myself "who is it he keeps reminding me of when he speaks?"
Then it hit me that Gary Cooper's speech was bringing to mind the sound of Chris Cooper speaking. If they are not related, I'd call the common name together with a strikingly similar vocal sound an extraordinary coincidence.
