Is Christianity the same as Apostolic Roman church?

Answer:

I believe the belief today is the same as the belief of the first churches.

We are called today by the same spirit that called the first Christians years ago. The only difference is today we have huge buildings to worship freely in. 2000 years ago people worshipped quietly in their homes and were afraid of persecution. Their faith was much stronger I believe because they believed in God in the face of adversity whereas today we only have to worry about a bit of verbal abuse. (In North America anyways) This is an age where the word of God fills the world on tv and even in secular bookstores...and I am afraid to admit this causes complacency with modern Christians. I have not seen in any church where the blind were healed and where people got out of their wheel chairs. The word of God is certainly readily available which is great, but we as Christians need to give the Holy Spirit room to work and stop being so politically correct. How do we do this? I really do not know!!! :( I deal with the same frustrations with my faith as many other Christians do.
