Lloyd Daniels (5th place in the X Factor 2009) and Danyl Johnson (4th place in the X Factor 2009) were rumoured to be dating during the time of the show. It is well known in the music industry that Lloyd and Danyl are both bisexual (Lloyd possibly just gay) and that they are no longer together. But Lloyd, unlike Danyl, has not publicly stated it.
This does make a lot of sense - Cheryl's dislike for Danyl with supposedly no reason for it, during his time on the show.
Simon Cowell called for an injunction on the News of the World as they had enough proof and evidence to print the story (about Lloyd and Danyl's secret relationship) however they were not allowed to print it due to Simon Cowell's ruling over the newspaper - it would have made Lloyd especially lose lots of fans (as most of them were girls who presumably fancied him and that's one of the only reasons they were voting) and Danyl too (dating someone 11 years younger than him would have certainly been frowned upon by the voting audience).
I sadly think the main reason is because they were too male contestants - Simon has been desperate to cover up the sexuality of his contestants when they have been bisexual/gay in the past - Austin Drage, Ashley McKenzie etc
