AA is supposed to be anonymous. This is a question that should not be asked. However a person in AA can freely volunteer this about themselves. That is whether or not they are in AA.
==new answer== I would be extremely surprised if this was true. I have read and appreciated his work and have heard him speak in person. A person who drinks could not develop into the person I heard speak. I know this because I spent a number of years doing the type of discipline that he does. Drinking is not and cannot be a part of it.
