The same question just came to mind when my wife and I watched an old episode of Soap.
The Wikipedia article about her says, "For the most part, Canova has retired from acting. Her last role was in the 1998 movie One True Thing." However, she's been working on animated children's videos since then, most recently as the voice of the monstrous Mrs. Beamster, who puts noisy children through the laminator in Librarian from the Black Lagoon (2007). Other appearances include Emily's first 100 Days of School (2006), Reading to Your Bunny (2006), Arnie the Doughnut (2005), The Teacher from the Black Lagoon (2003), and Miss Nelson Has a Field Day (1999). "Teacher ..." was selected as a "Notable Children's Video" by the American Library Association in 2004.
