Is Gmail Safe?

Yes Gmail is safe. I have a gmail account and before i hade one my mom checked it out. you are allowed to chat but only with people in your contact list. It will say would you liek to chat with (who ever the name is) and it will keep it like that. Say if you did it on accident you are alowed to block that person. But i dont think theres a way to block email adresses.
