Due to its global need and occasional approach to Linux, many users opted for android, which was offering open-source desktop features. However, as android operating products flooded the market and initially targeted the average Indian audience primarily, there is no secret that android, with Google as their prime operating system, runs a fair share of secret codes.

This secret share led to an immediate need for users directing their attention towards Firefox OS and Sailfish OS, which led to disappointment. Firefox OS AND Sailfish OS are still developing and remodeling their services for an upgraded version.

Due to CyanogenMod and custom ROM systems that resemble Linux, and without them, android cannot be an open-source. Additionally, the other open-source software depends on the Android such as Selfish OS lets one directly install the Android apps. However, to gain overall control of your device, you can root the administrative process.
