While coffee beans themself are gluten-free, it's possible that it's come in contact with gluten during processing. it All coffee is not guaranteed gluten-free. It is strongly recommended that you contact the brand company to specifically ask about cross-contamination or oils used to flavor the coffee. Some companies will dust their manufacturing lines with flour to keep the beans rolling along, and oils can have gluten in them. When in doubt, always contact the company.
Gluten is the general name used to describe proteins found in wheat and other cereal grains. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gluten
no it is not
no
There is no straightforward answer here. Coffee is naturally gluten-free; however, flavorings are sometimes added to it that contain gluten. There are several brands of coffee that are produced in 100% gluten-free facilities, and those may be worth checking into. BUT I, personally, have celiac disease and have had problems drinking even "gluten-free" coffee. After reading many blogs on the topic, a large number of other celiacs have also claimed a sensitivity to coffee. I think that even among celiacs, it depends on the person.
Gluten is a protein from the Endosperm of many grains, most commonly of which is Wheat. The coffee bean does not contain that protein. Gluten is not spread through contact like a virus and would take many grams of which to trigger a reaction is someone with a gluten intolerance.
I have recently been diagnosed with Celiacs Disease, and have been looking a lot of things up on the internet about foods and drinks that are safe for someone like me. I was surprised to find that this question has not been answered. I would like to answer it. I believe it is safe to say that coffee is NOT GLUTEN FREE! Due to the fact that most coffee contains barley, which does contain gluten, unless otherwise stated on the label. I would also like to share with all people that have Celiacs Disease or any allergic reaction to gluten that if you love coffee and would like to drink it, try Teeccino Mediterranean Herbal Coffee. It is 75% organic, gluten free and is caffiene free too. And it tastes DELICIOUS!!!! :)
Is coffee mate non dairy creamer gluten free
It should say gluten-free on the product somewhere. If not try going to their corporate website or call them.

Starbucks is not entirely fair trade. Some of their products are. Overall Starbucks tries to use coffee from responsible sources, whether or not they can be labeled fair trade.
I looked up the same question because I am having symptoms as if I have had gluten, but I saw all dunkin donuts coffee flavored and unflavored are gluten free.
Funnily enough I had a Dare Expresso this morning, not much, but something triggered a reaction......tell me what is in the powder mix?
All coffees are gluten free. There's a big push in the food advertising world today because people are aware of gluten. This push is misleading to the point of being a fabrication. In order to have gluten, there must be a leavened flour, such as wheat. Even where there's no wheat, advertisers will still claim no gluten, even when they know gluten is not possible.
