Gwazi is not considered a ride specifically for children; it is technically a thrill ride. But it has a minimum height requirement of 48 inches. So children who are at least that tall are permitted to ride. All kids are different, so for some it might be too scary, but other children can enjoy it. Since it is a wooden coaster and does not have any inversions, it might be a good first "big" roller coaster for a child to ride.
The maximum speed on Gwazi is 51 mph.
