Other people speak of spending a week hospitalised. It really depends on your physical condition when you are admitted, how you cope with the surgery, what type of incision and surgical process your surgeon uses, how you go with pain management and how quickly you are up on your feet.
Other factors are are usually considered such as you have to be off wheels (rollator or wheelie walker) and on crutches or a cane. Being able to walk up stairs is usually another item that needs to be marked off the list.
If you are considering resurfacing, I would suggest talking to surgeon experienced in resurfacing to discuss its suitability for you and what your surgeon would expect to see for your healing and rehabilitation.
