There are also barrage dams across estuaries and inlets which capture tidal water and use that. Machines that capture the movement of ocean waves are also part of the hydro electrical system.
not compleetly in your text books it may say that hydro electricity is non renewable but heres a theory when you use hydroelectricity you are using water thus the only residue that is left is water vapor when water vapor evaporates it forms clouds then it rains into our lakes and oceans thus more water is then more water is at our disposal* *THE WATER CYCLE
