Kansas City and it's metropolitan area actually have the unique distinction of being one of only three American cities ( the others are St.Loius and New York ) that have area in two states . Just like the Missouri state border which intersects the meandering Missouri river that flows through Kansas City, the river seperates the almost equally- populated Kansas half and the the equally- sized Missouri side. So I guess you could say it's in both states. Who would've thought,eh....... Kansas city, not even entirely in the state of Kansas.
