No it is not, and you should not choose a college or university with a national accreditation anyway. Whenever you choose a school, make sure the institution has a regional accreditation which has a higher standard than the national accreditation. With a regional accreditation you can be assured the coursework and degree you complete will be recognized by all other colleges and universities as well as employers. This is critical especially if you plan to continue your education to the graduate level at a later date.

Kaplan University has the appropriate regional accreditation by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, which is the better accreditation for schools to have. Thus, it is fine!
