The 1050 SW is an excellent choice for hikers, fisherman or people who spend a great deal of time in possibly inclement weather conditions. It is the only small consumer grade camera that is waterproof, dustproof and pressure proof.
Unfortunately, the image quality is only so-so. Buy it if you need the toughness. Otherwise there are many better choices, including most other Olympus offerings.
