Professional NLE's (non-linear editing software) display lines around the video called the 'safe title' area, so you can see what will be displayed on TV. Professional NLE's also allow you to create the types of effects and transitions that businesses expect. 2. You must have a computer capable of editing video- Not all computers have the capacity to edit video, because it takes up a lot of resources. You need a computer with above average RAM, at least a processor speed of 7200 rpm, and above average hard drive space. 3. You must have access to royalty free music libraries- You cannot use music that you do not own unless you get a license for it. Commercials that use popular songs are paying lots of money to use that song. However, you can purchase royalty free music libraries that include the license to use the music as you wish. You can find these online. 4. You must have the ability to provide professional voiceovers for your commercials- Many commercials contain the voice of an unseen person. This is a 'voiceover', and they are easy to find online. VO artists can record your voiceover, and send it to you as an mp3. 5. You should have a professional camera, such as a Canon GL2.
