Actually, Paul McCartney has many current locations, and has not made public where he lives. However, he has said in a number of documentaries that he lives in Sussex, England. He did live on a Scottish farm in the sixties and seventies with his late wife, Linda.

Paul McCartney is a British citizen. He is neither a citizen nor a resident of the United States, though he does own a ranch in Arizona and a house in Los Angeles.

He must have some sort of legal status in the United States; If he is not a U.S. citizen or an permanent resident then he must have either a tourist or business temporary visa. If he has no legal status then that would make him an illegal alien.
