As of 29th September 2009, Impossible Pictures has teamed up with UKTV - Watch and ITV, they are making 13 episodes over 2 series. All of the old cast have signed up and the first episode is due Jan 2011.

Primeval Season Four was confirmed to be happening on 29th September 2009. Filming began in March 2010 and finished in June 2010. Season Four will contain seven episodes and was filmed in Ireland. A Pliosaur has been confirmed to appear in the fourth series.
Season Five has also been confirmed and will contain six episodes.
