The supposed smoking gun is the one eye in a triangular shape on their album, Awake. It looks close to the all seeing eye (Eye of Horus/Lucifer) which is the universal sign of the Illuminati. However, I can't jump to the conclusion yet because Awake's eye is the left eye while the Illuminati's is the right. The issue of music no matter what alleged affiliation plagues the community today. Christians reference the book of Daniel which says the concept of the music we listen to makes us unknowingly worship Satan and the antichrist. Personally, I believe it's either that it's possible the tune and lyrics don't matter as much considering the Illuminati have their hand in the music industry, even Christian music, or controversial styles of music are ok as long as the musical accompany isn't there as much as that one verse in Daniel mentions different instruments when worshipping the image. That's my take on it.
