Is Son of Rosemary as good as Rosemary's Baby?

Answer:

It's bloody awful, pardon the pun. Rosemary's Baby is a true masterpiece. And one of the rare occasions when a great book was made into an even greater film. The plot & dialogue of the script (adapted by Polanski) very closely follows the book. The novel is a very breezy, fast & deceptively light read. A beach paperback. And a real page turner if there ever was one. Why Levin should have chosen to write such a putrid sequel so many years later is beyond me. Guess the Devil made him do it ;) Must've needed the money, I suppose. Sad, really ... Well, God bless him, & take my advice & skip the sequel so you can remember him for his true genius.
