The electron geometry is trigonal bipyramidal, where the lone pairs of electrons form a trigonal planar geometry and push the F atoms away from each other to form a 180 degree-angle molecular geometry (linear). Non-polar.

It is non-polar. The central atom, Xe, has 2 bond groups (F-Xe-F) and 3 paired-electrons groups. Has a formula AX2E2, and is linear. The 2 bond groups form a 180 degree bond due to repulsion forces from the 3 paired-electron group
