Is a Border Aussie a good dog for an apartment?

Answer:

Generally, the answer to this question is 'No'. Unless the dog is afforded daily exercise and NOT crated or left alone in an apartment. They are full of energy, extremely intelligent & easily bored. Border-Aussie's should be socialized as early as possible. While they are not generally aggressive they can be protective of you or what they may consider their property. One other aspect of the Border-Aussie is that they will attempt, often, to be the pack alpha and therefore require of firm, consistent owner.
Given a good environment to live in a Border-Aussie is, in my opinion, one of the most enjoyable pets a person could have. They can learn nearly behavior you care to teach in an unusually short amount of time and they are eager to please you.
