Never heard of a 325. In the 327's, the early ones were small journal and the later ones (67 and up) were large journal. hth
yes the 327 was built in a small and large journal small journal revs up fast and spins rpms and large journal is stronger
From the oil pump, through the block to the first main, then through the journal to the rods, then through the journal to the next main, ect.
large displacement small block
350 and under are small blocks. There is also a 400 small block but there is a 400 large block. 396 and up are big blocks.
The 327, is a 4 inch bore, but, it is a small journal motor, so no. However, in 66, and 67, Chevy made the L72, which is better known as the 350hp, 327. Vettes, and various other hot rod packages, in the Nova, Chevelle, Elcamino could be gotten with this motor, 2 years only. Being high performance/heavy duty, they made this motor with a large journal, which is what a 350, is. So, this one, specific 327, 4 bolt main, large journal, yes.
It is a small block
