pangolin are endangered because many years ago people hunt for selling seashells. Pangolins usually hid themselves in their shells when they are in danger. So people use to kill the pangolins take them out of to shell throw it away and sell the shell. That's why pangolins are endangered.

Yes, the Pangolin is endangered. In China, pangolin meat is considered a delicacy and many people eat it daily, also many believe the scales will stop swelling, or help reduce the frequency and duration.

Additional Information: There are eight species of Pangolin alive now. According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, or the IUCN Red List, all eight species of Pangolin are listed. There are two listed with a status of "Endangered", they are the Sunda, and Chinese Pangolin, both are posted with a population trend of "Decreasing" as are all the Pangolins, no matter the status. Out of the six remaining species four are listed with a status of "Near Threatened". For more details, please see the sites listed below.

Pangolins are an endangered species and have been for some time due to the high rate of trafficking of their species in, the estimated amount superseding all other trafficked species, making them the most trafficked mammal, at a staggering rate of about 1 million trafficked pangolins per year.
