All cats are CARNIVORES. They need to eat meat which provides the cat with all the vitamins, proteins, fats and other nutrients it needs.
- Carnivore: Meat eater. Carnivores get their nutrients from meat and other parts of the prey. Cats, dogs, dolphins, most bats, sharks, crocodiles and birds of prey are all carnivores.
- Herbivore: Plant eater. Herbivores get all required nutrients from plant matter such grass or other leaves. Cows, horses, deer, rabbits, rhinos and some birds such as geese only feed on plant matter.
- Omnivore: Both plant and meat eaters. Omnivores eat meat and plants to provide them with nutrients. Pigs, humans, crows, bears, rats, and racoons are examples of omnivores.
