Is a ecosystem bigger than a biome?

[Edit]

A boime is bigger and a ecosystem is smaller

For example: The water biome is divided into fresh water and marine (salt water). Within these two categories there are several seperate ecosystems in both. i.e. the Gulf of Mexico is a large ecosytem within the marine biome.
