Some glue sticks such as UHU Stic are fantastic and are pretty strong!
But mostly, liquid glue works better with harder objects.
But liquid glue is kinda messy.

ANS 2 - Liquid glue for a particular purpose (yellow glue for wood, for instance) is ALWAYS better than glue stick. Glue stick is meant for sheets of paper,cardboard,etc.
There are advantages to both, and it depends entirely upon what the glue is being used for.
Super glue will not really stick on a brick as it will soak in too much through the porous surface. -This is definitely a case where a PVA glue is better than super glue.
Name your 'glue' . -There are many gluesstronger than glue stick.
No Hot Glue Is Better

Epoxy will make a better bond than anything.
Some are made cheaply, with less adhesive. I have tested many and find 'Ross ' brand best.
Wood glue is better FOR GLUING WOOD than any other type of glue !
Put some hard glue, melt a glue stick and than mix it together.
A hot glue gun is hot. Of course. Cold glue is too runny and hardly does the job. Robert Brooklyns found out that by heat and glue, it makes whatever stick better to whatever than cold glue. Now you know!no one cares...hot is supposed to be hot and that is it!
The difference is that a lip balm's size is smaller than a glue stick's size. However, they are both 3D cylinders.
If you mean a 2 part resin adhesive, they are much stronger than Elmer's original. - We must now also consider that in the past few years, Elmer has made MANY new glues - not just the old style white glue now. I'm looking forward to testing Elmer's Glue All Max, their latest one.
