Praying mantis, also called preying mantis, or mantid.

Praying Boytis
never no species of mantid are endangered except one.
Praying mantis start out their life as tiny, wingless versions of their future selves. They are referred to as nymphs. After several molts (when they shed their exoskeleton), they develop their wings and grow larger. They change very little from their nymph stages to their adult stages.
mantid flies
Usually after they have shed their skin 6 or 7 times. It varies from species to species and mantid to mantid so it's hard to set an actual time frame.
There's the Ground Mantid, but there's another species called the California Mantid that's a little more common. Those are the main ones, but I'm not sure if there's others.
The praying mantis gets red eyes sometimes when it it angry. Also nothing bad will happen to the mantis so you dont have to worry hope this helped ^_^
Their four legs and body resemble a flower; orchid, and when are born don't have same color as adults. As they grow up in their environment their color changes to fit in. They're a very amazing species!!
