A complete flower has all four parts: sepal, petals, stamen (male) and pistil (female).
A perfect flower just has the male and female parts.
The tulip is a complete flower.

  • Sepals (3 - aka calyx) protect the bud.
  • Petals (in groups of 3) are a variety of colors.
  • Stamen (usually 6) are topped with the pollen.
  • One pistil is in the center, at the base of which are the egg-containing ovaries.
