No. Generally, you can expect a 10 - 15% reduction in value for a used gun, more with increased wear and tear.
That's kind of a vague question, like asking if a used car is worth what a new one is, and just like cars there are classic guns, there are lemons, etc. Generally, no, like the previous answer. However, there are some antique firearms that can bring quite a bit of money at auctions, like a 1911 from WWII that is still in decent shape, or Wyatt Earp's peacemaker. Sometimes the value of a gun will go up as you own it and you could sell it for a profit. I have a Remmington 700 that falls into that category, bought cheap and now worth about 2-3 times what I paid. These are not the rule but the exception. If you buy new, the value of the gun goes down before you leave the shop with it, just like a car. It's "worth" is whatever you can get for it and people will always pay a little more to get something new rather than second-hand.
a Tommy gun
I inherited the same gun. My father bought the gun new in 1971. It was called the ultimate goose gun. It was also used heavily a a big game gun. My dad used it faithfully to hunt deer in eastern NC. I used it to kill my first deer. with the 3" mag capability and full choke it was a perfect big game shot gun as well as a goose gun. You can find the same model at auction for $150 to $250. The later if it is still in really good shape.

It is worth as much as you can get. Most BB shotguns "wallhangers"and such are $100.00 and up.
You can purchase a new gun for around 380 dollars. Your gun is worth about 250 dollars in the used market.
New, they go for around $35, but used, you'd probably only get $20 to $15 for it
The gun new went for about $299.
Would need a little more information, like manufacturer and model for starters. But for any useable shotgun, you can go to Walmart and locate the least expensive new gun with the same action type and figure your used gun is worth from 1/2 to 2/3 of its price.
I Just Bought one out of Gun Shop In Davison, Michigan in good Shape for $ 90.00
ANSCHUTZ 2002 Are you asking about the rifle model 2002 ALU? If so this rifle, not gun, was mfg 2000-2006 at 95% it worth $1,200, at 100% it's worth $1,350.
Is it an old vintage staple gun, then it could be worth something, if it is in its original state and case. If it a new one, its worth what you paid for it. Somepeople that are staple happy consider it priceless.

It means that a gun is in new, not used, condition.
Impossible to answer. "Best" is a meaningless term until you quantify it. Are you talking about a long gun or a hand gun? New or used? What will it be used for?
It depends on the condition! You question is about as vague as asking how much is my Ford Explorer worth?!!?
Depending on what condition it is in, A Remington 1196 can be worth $500 for one in used shape. fair. Also as much as $800 for new in box condition. The gun new was $800 . Be sure it comes with mod. full and imp cyl choke tubes, if you are paying a new price.
