Is an PC upgrade the solution to a slow computer? |
[Edit] |
Answer
Many different things affect the overall performance of a computer. The major contributing components being first processor speed, then amount of RAM or lack there of, then last but not least hard drive space. What most people consider an "upgrade" is simply adding an additional memory chip or two. And while this will increase the speed and perfomance of your PC it may not be the Upgrade that you were looking for. Here is a little quick fix that might speed things up just a bit: Try saving some of your files on an external storage device like a cd, dvd, USB flash drive, floppy or zip. Next after saving those files on someting beside your hard drive trash those files off your computer. Then clean up your Desktop, try moving any other files that you really don't need over into your C-drive or corresponding drive. Cluttering your desktop by storing all kinds of picture files and unneeded shortcuts also drastically slows down our computers.
