No it isn't. it was created in the US by Nickelodeon and the 2 creators, who are white, do not call it anime. it is just a regular cartoon. The definition of anime is "a Japanese style of motion-picture animation, characterized by highly stylized, colorful art, futuristic settings, violence, and sexuality." Avatar does not have futuristic settings or sexuality. colorful art and mild violence (as in avatar) could be found in all types of Cartoons. and avatar is based off Chinese culture. it is drawn in the US and animated in Korea. Unlike anime, creating avatar has nothing to do with japan.

I disagree. "Anime" is a style of art. Even though Anime originated in Japan, doesn't mean that animation drawn in other countries in the "Anime" art style is not considered Anime. Take Manga for example. Manga also originated in japan and are drawn in the Anime style but Americans create their own Manga every day! "Miki Falls" by Mark Crilley for example, was created by an American and is considered a Manga by everyone who has and evern hasn't read it! So I say that Avatar: the Last Airbender ISan Anime since it is drawn from the Anime Style of Art!
yes it is an anime but in my own opinion it has been "westernised" quite a lot which may have just been the animators style or could have been to help it get into a wider market.
Aang is The Last Airbender. When Fire Lord Sozin started the war, he realized that the avatar would be reincarnated as an airbender so he had them all killed. Luckily, Aang was busy being trapped in the ice when the air temples were attacked, so he wasn't killed. Also, doesn't the title 'Avatar the Last Airbender' pretty much spell it out for you?
knock knock aang isn't trapped in ice. anng ran away because he will be send to the eastern air temple and be separated by gyatso. so he ran away. while he was traveling, there was a big storm. they are splashed in the water the appa and aang was drunk and aang turned into the avatar state and waterbend himself in the water he froze it then that's all
No Aang isn't the last Airbender.
the sky bisons were the original and they taught the air nomads so Appa is still alive.
Aang and Katara have a child. Tenzin who becomes a master airbender and teaches Korra (the next avatar)
if he was the last airbender then after the avatar cycle would be broken because after Korra and the next earth and firebender then there would be no avatar any more. Then the whole world will be indangered.
By the traditional definition, yes and no, depending on where and who you ask. Anime in Japan refers to all kinds of animated media (including Western "cartoons") whereas everywhere else associates anime as exclusively Japanese animation.
It's a movie written , directed , and produced by M. Night Shyamalan . It's based on the cartoon show "Avatar : The Last Air bender
Some think its a good movie some don't. They said that the movie was cut in half-ish.. because they said that the movie only shows the main character master the air element.
Yes. Actually that was the first of three. A trilogy. They are also making a show called Avatar: Legend of Korra
Not that I know of but for at least several years there was a TV series. There is though an avatar movie in which real live actors preform.
Not exactly. Anime originated in Japan. While Avatar: The Last Airbender was animated in South Korea, it originated in America.
