It all depends on your play style, if you like dual analog controllers like the Xbox 360 or PS3 controller then classic controller might be for you, but if you like an pointer aimer like the wii remote then go with that..
It really all depends, I've gotten used to pointing the remote from playing past wii shooters like Metroid Prime and Golden Eye 007, so I go with the remote.
Plus the remote has more button schemes options and customizable controls, while the Classic Controller only has a couple set control schemes.
But it doesn't hurt to play with dual analogs for fun and what not...
No, it is not required. There is an option to use it, along with the standard WiiMote and Nunchuck, Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro.

If you are referring to the Classic controller, than no. You can use almost any controller scheme to play this game, from the wiimote and nunchuck to the wii zapper, classic controller pro and much more.
No some use just the wii remote and others you can play with a gamecube controller.

No, Unfortunately you can not use your classic controller. You have to take the original controller and flip it sideways, after the first chapter, push A to go into 3d mode! hope this helps you!
No. When play Gamecube games on the Wii, you must use a Gamecube controller.
its easier to play on guitar, but its far easier to master on the controller (which is better for the long run)
You need a gamecube controller, classic controller, or a N64 controller with an adapter.
