Carmex is made at Carma Labs. Alfred Woelbing invented Carmex lip balm 1937. He made it by hand in his home until moving into a facility in the 1950's.
Absolutely not; that is a so-called urban myth, a nice rumor but totally untrue if only because sperm of any animal including man can only be kept outside of the body if deep frozen. The active ingredients of Carmex lip balm are camphor (1.7%), menthol (0.7%), salicylic acid, and phenol (0.4%). The inactive ingredients (that do nothing but give the balm its flavor and substance) are beeswax, cetyl esters, flavor, lanolin, parafin wax, petrolatum, and cocoa seed butter.
Carmex lip balm is not tested on animals.
Carmex contains no lard. It has beeswax, lanolin, paraffin and petrolatum. It also contains camphor, menthol and phenol. I think this product is physically addictive--everyone I know who uses Carmex goes into withdrawal if they run out. A lot of them have a tube in every room.
The first pot of Carmex came in 1937.
Carmex is available in a variety of forms and flavors.
