Celiac disease is not infectious.

It is, however, genetic, so often when one family member gets diagnosed, others follow, which might give the wrong impression that it's contagious. Three things are necessary to trigger classic celiac disease: the presence of gluten in the diet (wheat, rye, barley, perhaps oats); having the gene for it; a stressful triggering event (pregnancy, illness, and courses of antibiotics are often associated with the onset of active celiac disease).
