Answer A ''Circumcision'' is compulsory for Muslim males. This is goes back to prophet Abraham (Ibrahim in Arabic) teachings per God command to him. No circumcision for Muslim females is required per Islam religion.

Answer B However, since there is absolutely no mention of genital cutting for either gender in the Glorious Qur'an - the final revealed word of Allah - and no evidence that The Prophet was Himself circumcised, many Muslims do not circumcise.

The Qur'an does say in many ways the body is made perfect by Allah and needs no alteration:

'''- 27:88''' Allah who has 'perfected everything' (He created).

'''- 32:7''' He is the One who perfected everything He created, and started the creation of the human from clay.

'''- 67:3''' You will not see any flaw in what the Lord of Mercy creates.

'''- 82:7-8''' The One who created you, designed you, and perfected you. In whatever design He chose, He constructed it.

'''- 95:4''' We created man in the best design.

'''Answer C (Comment on Answer B)

Quran states that obedience of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) teachings is of God obedience and states that who loves Allah should follow prophet Muhammad (PBUH) commands. Accordingly, all Muslims are commanded to follow the teachings as in Answer A. It is not true that many Muslims do not circumcise even those Muslims who are living in non-Muslim majority countries as in Europe, America, and or Australia.
