Researching via Google shows there are not many, if any, clinical testing for pregnant women who take codeine, so there is insufficient data in humans. Which does not mean it is safe for a pregnant woman to take codeine. It only means more testing must be done before a definitive answer can be provided.

Yes, drs prescribe it for migranes along with other things to pregnant women all the time. They dont want you to form an addiction or to take it all the time, to where the baby withdraws when he/she is finnaly in the world.

Codeine is safe during pregnancy. Only thing that it can cause constipation. You are requested to take it on the advice of your physician only.
