Whoa, Nelly. I do agree that there is a lot out there that is bogus. BUT, your body can and does create detoxifying enzymes. Okay on "liver detoxification", but the question was is detoxification possible? The answer is, "Yes." If I recall, they are called GST enzymes and some green teas encourage GST production. I personally believe in cleaning my body out periodically with a laxative that contains Senna, alfalfa tablets, raw fruits & vegetables and lots of water. I come away feeling really rejuvenated. The first couple of days are hard...but I can learn real fast to truly appreciate the flavor of simple foods. So, in my world detoxification is real.
Answer
Detoxification is not real. There's no such thing as liver "detoxification" in the sense that alternate medicine would have you believe, nor is their any well controlled-evidence for a commercially available product that would assist in this "detoxification" from imagined, unnamable "toxins". Unless you have a serious metabolism disorder or organ failure, your liver should be completely capable of functioning properly. Seek medical attention if you have any sort of liver troubles. Avoiding heavy alcohol consumption would probably be best for your liver's health, if it's of concern to you.
