Some of this is a repeat of the above, but 'acutely' toxic might be considered an overstatement compared to other things we eat.
DICALCIUM PHOSPHATE DIHYDRATE
is from the chemical family of Phosphate Salts.
The ICL Performance Products LP Material Safety Data Sheet does NOT list this as a highly toxic substance.
However, it can be found in many products that should be used with great care or not at all. This includes pharmaceuticals and 'underground supplements.' It also includes bread! The amount you take in makes a difference.
It is used primarily in animal feed, as a human food ingredient, a 'filler' or 'tableting' agent in medications (not as an active ingredient, simply something to hold a tablet together) in toothpaste and as an agricultural chemical.
If handled without proper precautions, it can result in a rash or other skin irritations, if inhaled, serious irritation of the mucus membrane will result.
There are also of course concerns about possible impurities in the Dicalcium Phosphate Dihydrate itself.
In addition to DiCalcium Phosphate, it is called DCPD; Calcium Monohydrogen Phosphate; Dicalcium Orthophosphate Dihydrate; Calcium Phosphate Dibasic.
I am not an expert! I do know how to read loads of warnings and compare sites. Look out for yourselves.

Infobox references Calcium dihydrogen phosphate (also called mono-calcium orthophosphate) Ca(H2PO4)2 is a chemical compound. It is commonly found as the monohydrate, Ca(H2PO4)2·H2O, which releases a water molecule before it melts at 109 °C. It decomposes at 203 °C.
The formula is CaH5O6P
Assuming the dicalcium phosphate is anhydrous (no water molecules attached to it), you will have 2.95 g of calcium and 2.28 g of phosphorus for every 10.0 g of dicalcium phosphate.
Mixing solutions of calcium chloride and sodium phosphate calcium phosphate is obtained.
Dicalcium phosphate refers to Calcium Hydrogen-phosphate = CaHPO4

No: Calcium phosphate is inorganic because it does not contain any single bond between a carbon atom and a hydrogen or halogen atom.
Di Cal is an abbreviation for Dicalcium Phosphate. The elemental makeup is CaHPO4 • 2H2O. Although it can be derived from natural sources, such as bone meal and egg shells, Dicalcium Phosphate is usually made using limestone and phosphoric acid in a chemical reaction.
A superphosphate is a type of fertilizer that is made by treating phosphate rock with sulfuric or phosphoric acid. The three types of superphosphates are single, dicalcium and triple phosphate.

Grain, grain-by products and high-protein supplements are such supplements that can be given to cattle. Oilseed meals and animal and fish products (now banned due to BSE issues) are also good, as well as dicalcium phosphate, defluorinated phosphate, soft phosphate, sodium phosphate, ammonium polyphosphate, orthophosphates, metaphosphates, pyrophosphates, and tripolyphosphate. Make sure you balance calcium and phosphate together for optimum health. Don't just feed phosphate alone. It should be balanced with calcium in a 2:1 to 7:1 calcium-phosphorus ratio.
The chemical formula for calcium phosphate is:Ca3(PO4)2Ca has a charge 2+ and PO4 has a charge 3-, so you need 3 Ca and 2 PO4 to even out the positive and negative charges.
