I looked them up on the net and they seems legal. Are you looking to work for them?
Not only is ECS "legit", but is a great company to work for provided that:
You don't expect permanent employment, are willing to travel to get more work, and have high speed internet access and a printer at home.
I am a Field Tech for ECS. I get paid a great wage, get reimbursed for my gas on jobs over 40 miles (one way) from my house, and get to meet new people just bout every day.
I retrieve data from medical charts at doctors' offices and upload them to ECS daily. ECS contracts with HMO's to retrieve this data for chart reviews and Medicare Audits.
A project typically lasts from 6 to 8 weeks, and employees are expected to be available every weekday from 8am to 5pm during that project. As they are a nationwide company, the further you are willing to travel will help determine how much work you can get.
I do pay for ink and paper to print off cover sheets for sites, and in addition have to have a cell phone (I use a Trac Phone) for daily communications with my supervisor. All this is completely acceptable considering that I make $15/hr.
Also, I haven't worked a 40 hour week since I've started, but have averaged between 25-30 hours every week.
It's a great job.
