Is forgery a crime of moral turpitude?

Answer:
No. Moral turpitude generally refers to conduct that shocks the public conscience. Offenses against persons such as as murder, voluntary manslaughter, kidnaping, robbery, aggravated assaults, and crimes of a sexual nature involve moral turpitude.

I dissagree, under certain circumstances, it could be.
A phrase used in Criminal Law to describe conduct that is considered contrary to community standards of justice, honesty, or good morals.

Some communities would consider forgery contrary to the good morals of the community.

Added: I'm sure that SOME communities would consider spitting on the sidewalk contrary to good morals. However that notwithstanding, the first aswer is also a lawtext definition of the term. Forgery is not a "crime against persons" it is a "crime against property."
