Geothermal energy, where we use the heat from deep under the earth to generate electricity, is renewable, that is, there is so much of it that we can keep using it practically forever.

Some geothermal plants may over time use up all the heat in that particular location. The power plant may have to be shut down for a few years till the heat renews from deep in the earth.

Strictly speaking geothermal energy is not renewable as we can't grow or make new energy sources to replace it. It is however essentially inexhaustible as it is renewed by processes like radioactive decay and tidal friction in the magma.

It is not 'renewable' if you mean "can humanity restore it?", as it must with trees, for example. It is not so much a renewable energy source as it is a persistent energy source.

It is self-renewing - the Earth is constantly giving off its heat to water which is close enough to the heat to be warmed by it. It is not diminished to any noticeable extent by our using it.

It's capacity is effectively unlimited.
It is renewable.

Green House Gas Theory is late 18th Century Chemical Theory from the field of Physics that you'll still see in Physics class but has no part in the modern natural Sciences of Oceanography and Meteorology whose under standing is that the Ocean is Earths major heat sink(not "Greenhouse gases") and the Evaporation/precipitation cycle and the Ocean Conveyor distributes heat, drives wind, weather, and climate not "Green house gas concentrations"

That Aside the most feared "green house gas" in the current Fad since Al Gore's Movie, Carbon Dioxide, is actually a rare and valuable commodity costing about $10 a pressurized pound

If mixed with a di-acid at the right temperature Co2 turns into a biodegradable plastic

At 2500f Carbon dioxide is a clean burning fuel destroying the c atom and 1 o atom with oxygen as it's byproduct

Carbon dioxide is used to decaffeinate coffee, process chemicals, and to kill bacteria in food processing

Carbon dioxide was the original refrigerant before Freon because it rapidly boils cold at 1 atmosphere if pressurized above 1 atmosphere first

Carbon dioxide is used in making soda pop as well as driving the pistons on the soda machine

Carbon dioxide is used as a safe alternative to other gases in Piston technology,is used in "air guns", as well as "air" powered engines because of the ability to fit a lot of it into a small area

Carbon Dioxide is used in powering Gas lasers as well as Plasma cutters

Baking Soda is a intentionally manufactured version of a Carbon Dioxide concentrate for baking

And here is the real kicker... In order to use Carbon Dioxide in all the things mentioned Carbon Dioxide has to be intentionally manufactured when demands are beyond what is generated in industries that have Carbon Dioxide as a byproduct they sell to other manufacturers and companies that need Carbon Dioxide

Thermal Energy is heat. However, it is only as renewable as the source.

If you are burning oil (or any fossil fuel) to produce your thermal energy, then it is non-renewable.

If your heat comes from the sun, or some other renewable source of energy, then it is renewable.

No, geothermal uses the heat from the centre of the earth, which will be around for billions of years, we think, so geothermal energy is renewable.

Geothermal energy is a renewable energy source because the heat is continuously produced inside the Earth. We can use it today, and it's still there tomorrow to be used again.
no it is a renewable
you are taking heat out of the ground to power a turbine through steam. the rocks cool down after many years and then you need to move on to another site. i would have said it is a renewable source but maybe it takes too long for the rocks to get hot again.
No. Geothermal energy is a renewable resource.
