Headphones are a piece of hardware that lets you listen to audio right to your ears without the use of speakers, so to answer you question, I guess they would be a hard copy, they would be referred to as hardware though.

and soft copy means a copy which you may have on your PC or CD,DVD or pendrive i.e. in digital form
