Is high density polyethylene recyclable?

HDPE (2) is recyclable because it is a thermoplastics and may be melted. From my minimal travels, it is one of the most popular thermoplastics to be recycled along with PET(1) and PP(5). Your recycling center probably has a web site or literature at your public library.
