However, now it's apparent by the current numbers that Android now outnumbers iphones by almost 15%.
These numbers and figures may not mean much to you, but what does matter is that mostly all new high end android handsets now have 4G radios, dualcore processors, better graphics, and bigger screens. In addition the android market will surpass the iPhone app store in number of apps in September of this year.

In the end, it all depends on what you use a smartphone for. If media capture, download, and playback is what you want, then iPhone is definitely superior.
