ANSWER

According to The Bible, no.

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

If we are all one in JC, how can one spouse have dominion over another.

Answer

1 Corinthians 11 v12

For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman, but all things of God.

Ephesians 5 v25 and 28

Husbands love your wives even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it...so ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself.

Another aspect to this is that if a pastor's wife is really out of line with biblical teachings then the pastor himself is disqualified from office.

Basically a husband - pastor or not - is called to serve his wife as Christ did the church to the point of losing his life, but this aspect is often overlooked. No truly Christian man would be disciplining his wife and still be in obedience to God's will for the unity of a husband and wife. They are one in God's eyes. But Jesus said;Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and "WIFE", and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
I posted this answer earlier was deleted. Why allow Paul's preaching to stay in the mainpage and not allow Jesus' words? Is Paul greater than Jesus? If my answer does not answer the main question, then so is the one above. I'm only following up on the above answer..

In the episode of Samson and Delilah, the bible mentions that Delilah would ask Samson for the secret of his strength. It says that he would not tell her, but she kept taunting him by saying - "you say you love me, but you won't tell me the secret of your strength" - this went on until he revealed the secret. The Talmud learns that a man is obligated to tell his wife that he loves her, often. This is seen from her taunt - "you say you love me" - we see that Samson did say this often. We also see that if a man tells his wife that he loves her often, then there is no need to discipline her, since she will truly love him. In the case of Samson, Delilah may have intended to save him from being killed by the Philistines and therefore incorrectly reasoned that by making a deal with them she could save him. Her intentions although good, didn't end as she had expected. So to summarize, if he shows respect and love there will be no need for discipline.
