Is it bad to change home owner ins companies if your agent is an independant this will be the 3rd consecutive yr my insuring company has changed This makes me a little uneasy Looking for advice? |

Check with him to see what his criteria is in changing from company to company. If it is price, then query him as to the qualities of each company. For instance, replacement cost for one company will be 125% above appraised value others will depreciate cost based on house age, some will cover contents, including cabinets and fixtures (wall to wall) and others will not. Like you, I think that it is good to stick with reliable companies who have good records with the state insurance board for actually paying claims and not sure if these companies fit the bill.
