Answer
Some sun won't hurt them as long as they have shade to cover them whenever they choose to get out of the sun. They are water turtles and must have water deep enough that it doesn't get very hot all th way to the bottom so they can cool down if they choose.

As long as they don't get to much! In winter they bury themselves in dry mud to keep warm!
